(Seiryū) הוא אחד מ"ארבעת הסמלים" (Shijin) – דמויות מיתולוגיות חשובות בטאואיזם.

משמש כשומר המזרח,  מזוהה עם יסוד העץ, עונת האביב, כוכב הלכת צדק (יופיטר) והצבעים כחול וירוק.

הוא מייצג את מידת החסד ומסמל יצירתיות, וכן שולט בגשם. בקיוטו, הוא זוכה לכבוד מיוחד במקדש קיומיזו, שבו נערכים טקסים מיוחדים לכבוד דרקון המזרח

This series is inspired by the Four Symbols, the guardians of the four cardinal directions (east, west, north, and south).

Seiryuu (also spelled Seiryū)  Translation: azure dragon -East
A refreshing and transparent fragrance based on sandalwood, blended with marine notes, lavender, and other elements.

Seiryū is one of the shijin, or Four Symbols, which are important mythological figures in Taoism. Seiryū is the guardian of the east. He is associated with the  element of wood, the season of spring, the planet Jupiter, and the colors blue and green. He represents the virtue of benevolence, and symbolizes creativity. He controls the rain.

In Kyoto, he is famously enshrined and honored at Kiyomizu Temple, where special ceremonies celebrate the dragon of the east.

Origin: The shijin were brought to Japan from China in the 7th century CE. They are strongly associated with Taoism, feng shui, astrology, the five element theory, and other forms of Chinese mysticism. Japan’s ancient capitals were built in correspondence to these beliefs, with each of the quadrants of the city dedicated to one of the Four Symbols. Excavations of ancient burial mounds in Nara has revealed paintings of Byakko and the other shijin on the tomb walls.

Burning time   Approximately 20-25 minutes (per stick)

・ After igniting the tip of incense, extinguish the flame and let the smoke smolder.
・ Set the incense  after smoke on the incense stand made of non-combustible material.
・ Please use a plate that receives ash under the incense stand.
・ Do not use near flammable materials or in windy places.
・ Even if the smoke disappears, the fire may remain, so handle with care.
・ Keep out of reach of children.
